How it works

Every handoff has a next step.

TrackMyShit keeps ownership, custody, condition, and return status understandable from the first loan through an approved sub-loan.

01

Add or find an item

Owners create a private inventory record and choose whether an item appears publicly. Borrowers can browse by city, ZIP, or a location they explicitly share.

02

Agree on the handoff

Record the borrower, condition, photos, timing, and expectations. Public location is coarse; sensitive evidence stays with the accountable record.

03

Keep custody current

If the item changes hands, an approved sub-loan extends the chain rather than hiding it. The owner keeps visibility.

04

Confirm the return

Document final condition, acknowledge the return, and keep the history available if a question comes up later.

Built for more than one kind of item

Tools, outdoor gear, household equipment, school supplies, team assets, and other shareable property can use the same accountable flow.

Need the deeper controls?

Trust tiers, configurable reminders, evidence records, recovery workflows, exports, API documentation, and operational status remain available without crowding the basic path.
